Andrea Cohen
Director of Youth Philanthropy
acohen@jcfphoenix.org ext. 1404
Andrea directs the development, outreach, and facilitation of the Foundation’s B’nai Tzedek Youth Philanthropy Program. Before coming to JCF, she was a stay-at-home mom raising her children and consulting on children’s camping and activity programs. While serving on the B’nai Tzedek committee during the program’s formation, JCF leaders asked Andrea to become the youth philanthropy program’s first part-time director. She loves helping teens and their families connect with wonderful nonprofit organizations, so they can donate their time and their philanthropic dollars to worthy causes.
Andrea earned a bachelor of arts degree in communication from the University of Arizona and a master of social work degree from Yeshiva University, Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Originally from Calabasas, California, Andrea enjoys playing tennis, watching and playing baseball with her family, riding bikes, and volunteering at her children’s schools. In the summer, she’s the Resident Director of Gindling Hilltop Camp in Malibu, California, the Jewish summer camp where she grew up. Andrea and her husband of 20 years are proud of their two sons, both of whom hold B’nai Tzedek Youth Philanthropy Funds.
