Summer Camp Scholarships Now Available

Summer camp scholarship applications are now being accepted.
The Jewish Community Foundation is pleased to announce limited need-based financial scholarships for Jewish children from Maricopa County to attend Jewish day and overnight summer camp in the United States. Requests should be “last resort” funds, supplementing financial aid provided by the camp, family, synagogue, and all other possible sources.
Scholarship awards will be made from endowment funds established at the Jewish Community Foundation by Jack Bromfield and by the families of Labe Eric Targovnik and Kenneth Maltenfort for the dual purposes of reducing the financial burden of camping on Jewish families, and encouraging Jewish families to enroll their children in an immersive Jewish camping experience. “Thanks to the generosity of these families and individuals, scholarships awarded in 2015 helped 40 local children attend Jewish camps throughout Arizona and in California,” said Richard Kasper, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Jewish Community Foundation.
Scholarship applications for Summer 2016 are due March 4, 2016.
