Our Investment Portfolio
The Jewish Community Foundation investment committee manages the JCF portfolio. The committee employs independent expert advisors who assist in developing the Foundation’s overall investment philosophy and guidelines. The advisors also recommend to the committee various fund managers to handle the day-to-day management of the Foundation’s portfolio.
A Well-Diversified Portfolio
The Jewish Community Foundation’s pooled assets are well diversified and allocated among equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.
Among the International Equities, beginning in 2015, the Jewish Community Foundation has made it a specific priority to target high-performing investment funds that support the Israeli economy, by including companies that are based in Israel, have major operations in Israel, or are engaged in substantial trade with Israel. In this way, JCF can utilize its assets to support our brothers and sisters in Israel on a daily basis, and not just through the grantmaking process. Investing in Israel is a reflection of our values, and a tangible response to the pressure being brought on non-Jewish endowments to divest from Israeli investments.
