Foundation Scholarships Send 83 Children to Camp

The Jewish Community Foundation awarded 83 need-based camp scholarships totaling $57,323 for children to attend Jewish day and overnight camps in predominately Arizona and California this summer.
The awards were made partly from the Jack Bromfield, Kenneth Maltenfort and Labe Eric Targovnik endowment funds, which were established to help families enroll their children in an immersive Jewish camping experience by reducing the financial burden.
The demand for camp scholarships increased dramatically this year, and JCF responded. JCF’s Molly Blank Fund generously contributed additional funds to ensure that everyone who applied and wanted to attend a Jewish summer camp had a meaningful opportunity to do so.
