In loving memory of my friend, Jonathan Bernard Weinberger
June 29, 1995 – November 18, 2010
Jonathan was a very special friend who was taken from us far too soon. Our friendship grew from being matched by “The Friendship Circle”, yet it always felt like we were just two friends hanging out. He enjoyed movies, video games, bowling, space and building things with clay and Legos. Jonathan always spoke his mind; he was honest to a fault and he had a great sense of humor. His wisdom and friendship taught me integrity and responsibility. At age 15, Jonathan developed lymphoma and passed away after a very brave fight. I miss him very much.
As a lasting tribute to our friendship, I worked with my brothers in Kennedy AZA to set up a permanent, endowed fund. The mission of the Kennedy AZA, Jonathan Weinberger Memorial Fund is to keep the memory of Jonathan Weinberger alive through the g’milut chasidim acts of Kennedy AZA. Annually, Kennedy AZA will recommend grants to charitable organizations addressing one of the following: Cancer research of less toxic chemotherapies/ treatments and making people more comfortable while they are dealing with cancer.
