It seems that my life has always revolved around being Jewish. I have not always understood the “whys” of Judaism, but I have found it to be one of the most wonderful things that I have had as an anchor throughout my life. For this, I thank my parents, Albert Flom and Sadye Butman Flom, and my brother, Jerry Flom, all of blessed memory, for their consistency in their commitment to, and perspective of, Judaism. It is also my good fortune and a blessing to have found my husband, Robert Mautner, who has also been an inspiration for me to continue my Jewish involvement and education as an adult.
I thank G-d that I am fortunate enough to be able to fund and also truly appreciate this process of continuing to help other Jews here, in Israel, and in many other countries throughout the world, long after I have passed. It is with a great deal of pride that I endow my gift to the Jewish community forever in my family’s honor and in their memory.
