My parents came from Russia in the early 1900’s and settled in Chicago. They were poor but were always willing to help others with their time and with their limited funds.
I’ve lived here in Phoenix for almost 40 years and have been active in the JCC and Federation during most of those years. The community has been very good to me and through tzedakah I can repay the community. Although none of my three children, my four grandchildren, or my two great-grandchildren live here, my roots are here and I must do my part to see that our Jewish community not only survives, but thrives.
