In Loving Memory of
Howard Alan Levey
August 20, 1956 – November 4, 1996
On Sunday morning, November 4, 1996, our beloved son, Howard, arrived at his weekly basketball game early. As he waited for his friends to arrive, two gang members shot him and stole his car. He died later that night.
Howard was a pride and joy to us and all his family. He was a wonderful child and grew into a wonderful man. He was a successful businessman who was honest, humble and a caring person – ‘a mensch beyond compare.’ He left behind a wife and two children, parents, brother, sister, niece and nephews.
Because of Howard’s love of basketball and children, and his involvement with the Jewish Community Center, we are creating an endowment in his name to the Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center to provide funds for a children’s basketball tournament in his name.
