“If I am not for myself, who will be for me; if I am only for myself, who am I; if not now, when?” Hillel (Pirkei Avot 1:14)
Following the words of Hillel, I believe that I am obligated to take responsibility for myself and by doing so I have been in a position to give of myself through my 30 years of service at John C. Lincoln Hospital, as well as, financially assisting charity.
Through my gift of time I have received a gift as well that has come back to me tenfold in terms of a “Helper’s High.”
It is important to me to provide for future generations through an endowment that will be on going.
