A woman’s role throughout history has been defined as a caregiver, nurturer, and volunteer. In the 21st century we have become hands-on philanthropists. My volunteer journey has been a lesson in living generously, giving me motivation and enrichment. The centerpiece of a life well lived is helping the community around you to become a better place in which to live. The way to do this is to endow your Federation gift for your children and grandchildren’s future. An unknown author once said “The reward for a person’s work is not what he gets from it, but what he becomes by it.”
