Giving to charity is a Jewish tradition. As we were growing up, we both watched our parents practice this tradition.
Our fathers, who both owned small grocery stores, “forgot” to charge on occasion for those families in need. Our mothers kept filling the tzedakah boxes daily.
As a young married couple, we became aware that the generation before us provided the temples, JCC’s, Talmud Torah, et al, for us and our children. It is now our responsibility to help the Jewish generations to come.
We hope that our commitment to the Jewish Community Foundation will set the example for our children and grandchildren and others to continue to make this a better community for generations to come.
