Inside everyone lies the ability to change the world. Throughout a lifetime some people posses the ability to impact humankind greatly while others make a smaller mark. An endowment through the Jewish Community Foundation is one of the vehicles which I have chosen to help me make as large of a positive impact on the world around me as I possibly can.
I have come to serve on the Board of Directors for the Jewish Community Foundation because my Jewish identity has been an important part of my entire life, who I am today and how I plan to live my life in the future. I am honored to have been able to participate in such an active role in a group charged with creating a permanent legacy for a strong, vibrant, enduring local Jewish community. This is work which I am proud to participate in that has already made a lasting impression in my life and will continue to do so in our community for many years into the future.
Many people make choices everyday that help determine how they will impact the world around them in positive ways. Some people will ride their bicycle to work, some will teach Hebrew school classes; today I have made a decision that will have a positive impact on our community for generations.
Through my endowment to the Jewish Community Foundation I am ensuring that the impact of my actions will be felt not just in my lifetime to benefit those immediately around me but will be far greater. My endowment, channeled through the Fund for Jewish Philanthropy, will have an impact that will benefit our entire Jewish community for many generations in the future.
