Our four grandparents immigrated from Europe and brought with them a deep commitment to Jewish life that was transmitted through our parents to us. Our parents, Jane and Sam Kurn and Rose and Meyer Agron, left a strong imprint on the Tucson Jewish community. Two buildings, Hillel and Temple Emanuel Religious School, bear their names. This heritage has shaped our lives, given us a sense of purpose and inner strength, and provided us the opportunity to transfer strong Jewish values to our children, Jeffrey, Sharon and Jennifer. We hope we have done our share during our lifetime here in Phoenix and that the seeds we have planted will help insure a vibrant Jewish community in the future.
