B’nai Tzedek Youth Philanthropy Program Changes Lives

The B’nai Tzedek Youth Philanthropy Program redefines what it means to be a Jewish philanthropist by showing young people grades 7-12 that they have the power to change the world through a personal and engaged relationship to lifelong giving.
The program provides teens the tools to give tzedakah, deepen their commitment to social action, and participate in a program that models youth leadership. This year through the B’nai Tzedek program, teens Joey Lernor and Scott Rubenstein have developed their leadership skills and now serve on the Jewish Community Foundation Board of Directors; teens Hannah Miller and Alex Stoken now serve on the Jewish Community Foundation’s Grants Committee.
