Beth Jo Zeitzer Elected JCF Board Chair
The board of directors of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Phoenix has elected as its chair Beth Jo Zeitzer, president and designated broker of R.O.I. Properties, an Arizona commercial and residential real estate brokerage. The board also elected a new slate of officers at its annual meeting held on May 18.
Beth Jo succeeds David Weiner, who served as chair from 2013-2015. Beth Jo served as David’s vice chair for the past year. A member of JCF’s board of directors since 2012, Beth Jo led an ambitious five-year strategic planning process for the board in 2014.
“This is an exciting time for the Jewish Community Foundation,” said Zeitzer. “With the economic crisis behind us, we’ve seen renewed confidence and community support. The Foundation is in a great position now to focus on the expansion of its existing services, as well as exploring new ways to deliver value for the community.”
The board also elected a new slate of officers. Robert Roos, a partner in the Lewis Roca Rothgerber law firm, will serve as vice chair; Alan Gold, a partner with the Matthews, Gold, Kennedy and Snow retirement plan administration firm, will serve as treasurer; and Jonathan Hoffer, a partner with SMS Financial Services, will serve as Secretary. In addition, elected as a new board member is Hannah Miller, a sophomore at Phoenix Country Day School who is also a member of the Foundation’s Youth Philanthropy Board. Jeff Geyser and Daniel Feller each were re-elected to a second three-year term.
